No. Contracts are for one year in length.
However, if applicants have a good relationship with their school, it may be possible to extend their contract for additional years on a year-to-year basis.
Main Intake*
- Seoul/Gyeonggi: Mar. 1st (Spring) / Aug. 25th (Fall)
- National EPIK: Feb. 26th (Spring) / Aug. 26th (Fall)
Late Intake*
- Seoul: Not Available
- National EPIK: Mar. 26th & April 26th (Spring) / Sep. 26th & October 26th (Fall)
Please note that there is also a mandatory orientation period preceding the exact contract start dates.
*Some exceptions do apply.
Classes usually have 30-40 students depending on the size of the school with some rural schools having much smaller class sizes.
Standard elementary curriculum classes are 40 minutes, middle school classes are 45 minutes, and high school classes are 50 minutes in length.
