Report of the New zealand Earthquake Relief Fund
As many of you already know, on Tuesday the 22nd of February at 12:51pm, a 6.3 magnitude earthquake struck just outside of Christchurch, New Zealand. The resulting damage has been devastating. During the recent Spring 2011 EPIK orientation in Jeonju a relief fund was collected to be donated to those in need. Due to the generosity of those at the training, a total of 1.000,000 won was raised.
The relief fund was sent to the New Zealand Trade and Enterprise in Korea on March 2, 2011 and EPIK is now in possession of the receipt. EPIK staff were extremely impressed by the compassion and kindness shown by the new EPIK teachers.
