Essay Contest for GETs

NIIED will hold an Essay Contest for Guest English Teachers in Korea. The purpose of the contest is to find a way to improve EPIK, encourage current GETs and the officials in charge, and enhance the quality of English education. GETs with excellent works will be given awards and prize money.

□ Contest Subjects

 - GETs' experience in adjusting to Korean customs, overcoming cultural      barriers and conflicts with Korean teachers and students.

 - Ways to improve English education

   (After-school English program, extra-curricular activities, English training for Korean teachers, etc.)

□ Application method

□ Length

   5pages~8pages(A4 size, 12point font)

   ※Please, attach any lesson planning materials, lesson plans or related 

   documents(only doc, hwp file available. There is no limit to

   submissions).

□ Deadline : Friday, November 21, 2008.

□ Award and prize money

  - The number of winners may change according to the quality of the

   essays.

  - The awarded essays, attach file will be loaded on the EPIK website.

  - Essays will not be returned.

  - The awards will take place in December, and winners will be notified

   individually.
