Fall 2015 Recruitment And February 2015 Orientation

This spring we have launched our recruitment for Fall term and it has been received with a huge response! Now, we are processing and reviewing those applications and interviews will start to be scheduled soon. If you want to apply to the EPIK program, turn in your application! Our application window for Fall 2015 is still open!

The February 2015 Orientation took place between February 19~26 and was a great success. Staying at Daejeon KT HDSC, approximately several hundred EPIK teachers had the opportunity to learn and demonstrate their knowledge of teaching, mingle with their fellow teachers and explore the urban aspects of Korea.

Once EPIK teachers settle in their school, there will be another opportunity to deepen and/or improve their teaching skills. Through the In-service Training online course, EPIK teachers will be refreshed with various effective teaching strategies and co-teaching models.

The in-service training course is mandatory and must be completed by July 31, 2015. Please check our website regularly for important updates!

We are now preparing for our April Orientation and are looking forward to seeing all the new faces!

Detailed information about the location and schedules for each venue will soon be posted on the EPIK website under the “What’s New” section and on our Facebook and Twitter accounts.

Please note that all GETs are also required to participate in the 15 hour pre-orientation online program which covers a variety of topics such as Korean culture and language, introduction to the school facilities and etiquette and sample co-teaching demonstrations. All GETs will be invited via email with log-in information after the Acceptance Packages are sent out and must complete the program before arrival in Korea and present the certificate during the onsite orientation.

For those who joined the EPIK Program in the February 2015 Intake, there is also an online In-Service training program to aide GETs in improving their pedagogical skills by introducing various teaching & classroom management strategies. It is also made up of 15 units and mandatory to complete by July 31, 2014.
